death lies below

This accident is right below the overpass of the Hutchinson River Parkway which my favorite running path crosses. That black SUV flipped over the median rail and sheared the top of one oncoming car and caused another car to go out of control and crash inside the underpass.

I was told there were body parts strewn across the roadway - a grisly site for sure. But there's a lesson here. Life isn't guaranteed to anyone and for some it's shorter than they ever could've thought.

And finally - I was supposed to go running this morning at the exact time this took place. Was I not supposed to be there?

I'll never know.
